Two Days Is Too Long.

After driving for the last two days (went to Chinchilla two days in a row - just over a five hour round trip) then I have been backward and forward to Laidley and Brisbane - all in the name of dropping stuff off or picking stuff up for the boys who work for us. And to top it all off it rained for part of the time.

Okay, time to stop bitching and getting on with my ramble... I got Windblown Kisses: My Knight in Tarnished Armour back from my beta reader  Jim A and I've now sent it off to Cinders O to get her take on it to see if everything makes sense. and as soon as I get it back I will see where I'm going to try and sub it.

I also got an email from Steve L my MLRPress editor... we are about to start edits on Experimentals: Blessed With A Curse. I can't wait. Is it weird that I have missed doing edits?

Tomorrow Em and I are heading off to Loganholme to have lunch with A.B. Gayle, A.B.'s sister: Catherine, Megan Bamford, Denise Rossetti, and E.E. Montgomery... this should be fun. This way we get to meet A.B. Gayle before we head off to Sydney in October.

Inspirational Music

Today I decided to play 4 song I have been listening to a lot lately. I listen to  them while I am thinking on story lines... Mainly for Experimentals and all the stories involved in that series...

SO ENJOY!!!

The Diamond Rose - Inspirational Pictures

(Andy Sixx of the Black Veil Brides) is who I based my character Billy Martin after.. he doesn't really have that much in common with Andy except for the basic facial features and body type. The major difference is Billy is an ex-cop who finds himself mixed up in a case where nothing is as it seems.

(Chris Zylka - I have no clue who he is in real life -  assume a model maybe) is who I am basing Officer Cole Jackson on. not so much in looks but for the style of hair cut and the basic body build. Both my characters are in their middle to late twenties so you need to age them up a tad.

Basic Blurb (may change closer to when I sub this story):

Billy Martin an ex-cop currently undercover in the cities most notorious strip club because the owner of Von Drake’s is being blackmailed. When his police contact is killed, things go haywire.

Officer Cole Jackson has only one job – keep Billy safe at all costs. Cole goes to the one place he knows is impenetrable. The Diamond Rose: his family’s sanctuary, where they find out not everything is as it seems.

As the enemy surrounds them can Cole and Billy work together to save themselves from getting killed in the line of duty, and the lives of those they care about.

New Computer Tower Up & Running.

This picture above is my new screen saver... though Em tells me she is gonna change it - LOL. Can you believe she banned me from using David Bowie & Jonathan Rhys Meyers? I love being back with y larger screen (yes, sometimes SIZE matters). The hardest part besides losing shit and not being able to find it again is that I have to learn a whole new keyboard... everything is so different from my laptop. And again I have to remember the mouse - as rubbing the desk in front of the keyboard does absolutely jack-shit.

The other bad thing is I now have to put all my CD's back onto the iTunes & I have over a thousand of them it will take me weeks, but in the end it will be worth it. Well, that's what I keep telling myself.

On that note I will away as I have stuff to do before I settle down and write - for the next week I am working on The Diamond Rose: Undercover Hearts... This is a story which change drastically from what I thought it was going to be.  In the end I know it will be a better story so I'm letting Billy and CJ have their own way - for now.

I Had A Thought...

Okay, now that you are all done laughing - I shall continue... For the past bit I have had an inkling for a story inside my brain... I think it will wind up being a series - just not sure at this stage... the Series would be called: The Brothers McCrieve... who are: Justice, Jericho, Jaeger, Joss, Jaik, & Jarrell. At this stage that is all I have but I know they have a story/ies to tell.

To be honest I'm tossing up whether or not to write them as paranormal or as contemporary. I can see some of the characters in my head, and am now looking for people to use their pictures as inspiration... feel free to send me any you think might be helpful... Though I have one stipulation they all must have black hair.

DONE!!!

DONE!!!
Windblown Kisses: My Knight it Tarnished Armour,
is finally off at the beta readers.
It came in at 97,168 words.

Here's Something To Give You All A Good Laugh...

Woke up this morning to the sound of rain gently falling on the roof - I smiled because we live on tank water so any rain is welcome, especially, if it refills my tank - even partially.

Everything is going great and then I remember I have to take Mum out to do some errands so I decide to answer all my emails first and grumble the whole time about having to go out in the rain. I may love the rain but that doesn't mean I want to be out in it (unless of course I am jumping in the puddles - but at my age that might seem a bit weird to other people).

So there I am, in my office at my computer minding my own business when I here the screen door open and know my mum is letting one of the cats in. Just so happens it is my cat "Droogie". This would be no problem though because he likes to sit beside me or sit on the floor at my feet (he's not really a cuddler). Anyway I hear him meowing as he comes into my office and before I can blink he jumps straight into my lap wringing wet through. Mind you, I yell because A: It's winter here and pretty cold, B: He is so wet I now look like I peed myself, & C: He continues to sit there until I dry the bugger off... My mum walks in with an old towel and goes "Oops." - I'm like "Oops, WTF, seriously?" Apparently she got side tracked by something on the TV. As soon as he was dry he jumped off my lap and curled up by the heater.

So now here I am about to drive Mum to town in the rain... Could my day get any worse?

On a brighter note my new computer tower should turn up today... I can't wait.
