Tattoo Time.

Just thought I would share a little piece of me:

I know I was talking about my Tattoo the other day so I thought you might like to see what I was actually talking about.  This is 16+ hours and I still have another session on it.

This is on the same arm and was the beginning of my sleeve... this took 15+ hours to get this far. I am supposed to have the whole arm done by next March.

This one was my first Tattoo I ever got; it was 28+ hours and all done free hand... I had actually planned on getting a tattoo of David Bowie, but got talked out of it (He will be incorporated into my next full sleeve).

My one and only piece of advice if thinking of getting a tattoo is to think carefully as tattooing is for life... make sure it is something that you like... Hence the reason my other arm will be filled with beautiful according to me.

Ted Saddo of Sink The Ink; is not only a wonderful artist, he is my big brother.

Weekly Read

This week I am choosing my most favourite book to read; it is my happy book and quite often known as my revenge book; because it makes me laugh so much that it can become annoying for others... especially for my hubby when he is trying to watch some boring sport or another.

Okay; so you have guessed that I have chosen: As You Are- by Ethan Day.

This book has it all, it has you laughing, it has your crying and it has you wanting to reach through and slap Danny up the side of the head.

Julian & Danny are our main characters and I can guarantee that you will fall in love with them both. Mr Day has written them both to perfection... I would not have asked for them to be any different. The way their personalities play off each other is something that I have come to value.

Then throw into the mix Julian's mother Delilah, and his best friend Gabby and it makes the story just that much better. This is a book I have read so often that I feel like these characters are family.  Even just thinking about them has put a smile on my face.

Mr Day has written these character's so realistically that they instantly suck you into their world, and once there I know that you will want to revisit over and over.

Julian & Danny's love takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions; every time you think you have yourself under control something new happens that sets you off again.  This book is the one I grab when I am feeling down and I need a pick me up.  It is also the book I grab when I want a happily ever after... even when the way there is fraught with bumps in the road.

If asked to some this book up in less then ten words I would have to say:

Touch football; Dinner party & Break up scene.

This book has it all... I usually end up with telling you my favourite lines from the book. this one is something that Julian is thinking"

Oh yes, Momma.  I'm one tiny-ass shove away from the crazy house. He is doing an excellent job of taking care of me.

On that note I will say, thank you Mr Day for giving me a story that means so much to me... I think I may have to go and re read it again right now.

Admetus Gaea - Untamed World

Today I started work on Admetus Gaea - Untamed World, this is one of the first books that I ever started writing... It is about Grayson Taylor &  Lord Jondalar Arindad; Ruler of the Elven Kind. I have spent many years creating the world of Admetus Gaea; even creating the language and when in high school I would talk in it all the time just to piss off my teachers.
Though I lost the book for over twenty years and have only just recently found it again. so I have decided that it needed to be dusted off and brought back to life.  So that is what is on my agenda for the next couple of days.

I have sent My Knight In Tarnished Armour off to be proofed, before I attempt to find a publisher for it.

So at the moment I am at loose ends deciding what to work on next... also I am in the process of looking for a beta reader... just so that I can see if what I write flows and is appealing to the readers.  Well they are my plans for the rest of this week.

The Freedomers...

Saw a picture While browsing the web of a Gothic angel girl and it inspired me to write a story called the The Freedomers... Though in my story this person is a male. where parts of the world have been destroyed and an alien race comes to wipe out humanity... to take back what once was theirs.  Not everyone is good with that, and some choose to fight for the right to survive.

Yes I know this has been done many times over, but I am going to turn it into my next Blog story... further down the track

Title: The Freedomers.

Main Character: Zephania (Zeph) & Nathanial (Nate).

Just throwing this idea out there now, to let you know what is coming in the future...

Thursday's Thoughts

Today I have been working on Tidying up My book in my Windblown Kisses series; the first book is called: My Knight In Tarnished Armour.

It is the story of Ray Fowler & Christopher (Viv) Vivvens; two men drawn together that doesn't quite turn out like they thought.  That would be the addition of quite a few tiny sets of feet that soon join the family; changing their lives forever.

With the help the help of family and friends, they must fight there way through unrequited love, small white lies, betrayal of the worst kind, and the death of one of their loved ones.  will Ray and Viv's love be enough to pull them through and make them the strong family that they need to be.

Ray &Viv must come to terms with not only their sexuality, but shadows from their past come back to bite them on the arse.

Will true love win out? or will it be doomed before it starts?

Weekly Read

The book I have chosen this week is an all time favourite of mine: Brier's Bargain, by Carol Lynne.  It is book 1 from her series: Bodyguards In Love.

Brier Blackstone is one of the most lovable characters that I have ever read. Ms Lynne first introduced us to this wonderful character in book 6 of the Men In Love series: Tortured Souls; Bram (Bramble) Blackstone is Brier's twin brother.

Ms Lynne has written Brier so beautifully that I very much doubt that anyone reading his story will not fall in love with him. He is mildly retarded due to a head wound when he was younger at his own parents hands. Left to be raised in a state institute until he escapes to look for his family.

Through it all Brier shows a strength that makes you want to take him in your arms and just hug him and love on him forever.  he faces so many challenges in this book; from pressing charges against the men that molested him during his hospitalisation, to his brothers guilt of not being there for him and  most of all finding his way in the love he has for his life partner Jackie Benoit.

The way Ms Lynne has lovingly written this story it shows that if you believe hard enough, then anything is possible.  I also loved that we got to see things through Brier's innocent eyes that made things I thought I knew all about look brand new.

Though you could read this as a stand alone book I suggest you go back and start with Men In Love # 1: Branded by Gold... as this sets up the whole story of the remarkable men you will meet in the Men In Love & Bodyguards In Love series.  Though to be honest; there isn't a single book of Ms Lynne's that I have read that I haven't liked.

Here is my favourite lines out of this wonderful story:

"I found a bug," Brier blurted.

"Huh?"

"In the shed.  There was a pretty beetle.  Kinda looked green."  He knew he was stalling, but Brier wasn't really interested in rehashing his earlier pain.

"Cool.  Next time you should bring it in to show me."

"Really? I didn't know you liked bugs." Brier faced Jackie and straddled his lap, trying to put the majority of his weight on his boyfriends good leg.
