Blurb:
Who you want may not be who you need.

Ember Coruscate is a carefree dragon wanting nothing more than to play and he has his sights set on Flame. But something changes after he is kidnapped.

Roar Sliger has wanted Ember for as long as he can remember, but what dragon would want a gargoyle for a mate?

Marabell and Glenda are at it again, giving the pair what they need. Will Ember be dragon enough to realise there is more to life than a hot body and a pretty face? Can he get over the fact that Roar is a family friend and find the love they both deserve?

Excerpt:
Once upon a time in a land far, far…blah, blah, blah. Whatever.

Ember Coruscate sighed and slid down the wall he was chained to. They had him bolted into the wall as well as his hands cuffed together. He had enough maneuverability to brush his hair out of his eyes, he wished he had a tie to keep it out of his way. Actually, he just wanted out of the stupid hellhole he found himself in. This is the shit he got for helping out a friend. Some dragon shifter he turned out to be. His brother didn’t believe him about eating some stupid wizard. Like it was his fault the idiot tried to hurt Blaze. Now he had been kidnapped. He had no idea why and he didn’t even get the audience with his brother to defend himself from trumped up charges. If it was the wizards, leave it to them to jump the gun. Damn them and their magic.

He was dirty and wanted a bath. Food would be nice too; charcoaled wizard sounded mighty tasty about right now, but he would have no luck with that. They’d left him chained up in a dank stinky dungeon with grey walls. Who did that anymore? But the iron cuffs kept him in his human form. He’d be going all badass right now if he could shift.

He had no idea how long he’d been there. He’d never been good at tracking time. It could have been an hour…or most of the day. It wasn’t like he could look out a window.

Voices drifted down to where he was sitting. It sounded like it was coming from just behind the door. He had to strain a bit to hear it, the people were whispering.

“This is a really bad idea, Valda.”

“Shut up, Mykles, and just do what I tell you.”

“He’s the king’s brother. This is bigger than Aunt Mika and Uncle Wells let on. We should let him go.”

Ember heard what sounded like a slap.

Wonderful, now they’re fighting each other.

“He killed our cousin. We need vengeance.”

Ah, it was the wizards who had taken him. Good to know. He just hoped he didn’t have to eat another one. As good as it sounded, it really was bad for his indigestion.
